Esther's Pledge to Writers

I pledge to help you find your writing voice(s) and help you learn how to access yourself on the page.  I pledge to help you find a way to tell your stories and poems in forms and styles most natural for you.

I pledge to help you acknowledge that you are a writer or a poet and to help you learn how to develop a writing life in spite of raising families, holding down nine-to-five jobs or doing any of the many chores you need to accomplish in a twenty-four hour day.

I pledge to help you understand yourself as a writer and how your way of working is producing your particular writing style and form.  Are you getting what you need from the writing experience? Are you finding your audience? Do you want one?

I pledge to help you continue with your writing in spite of your vulnerability when you face the page or when you step into the world.

I pledge to help you continue to become.
